To Add An External Account To Zimbra / Synchronize Old Emails.

TO ADD AN EXTERNAL ACCOUNT TO ZIMBRA / SYNCHRONIZE OLD EMAILS.

 

External email account enables the setting up of multiple email account on Zimbra. Mails can be external mailbox but usually we do not want to do that.

This guide helps to add an external email account to Zimbra

Proceed as follow:

  1. Click on the Preferences tab (Figure 1).

  2. Select Accounts  from the left pane (Figure 2).

  4. Click Add external account (Figure 3).

  5. Fill in the following fields in the External Account Settings (Figure 4):

    • Email Address : Your Yandex email ID e.g. xyz@ergodeit.com

    • Account Name :  Any Name Your Want to Give 

    • Account type: Note: you should select IMAP

    • Username of Account : Your email id e.g. xyz@ergodeit.com

    • Email Server: imap.yandex.com

    • Password : Your Yandex mail password or default password is ergode123.

    • Advanced Settings: 

      • Use secure connection (TLS/SSL): Tick the box

  6. When all necessary fields is filled, then Click Save (Figure 5).

  7. Zimbra will review the settings and if it is correct, it will display Success. Then click OK (Figure 6).

  8. The new external account is now ready to use.
